My March Tree is hot right now! Featuring beautiful blue aquamarine gemstone chips (the birthstone of March), it’s the perfect item for a lady with a March birthday. It’s also a lovely gift for a Mother of a March child as well!

I love making custom pieces based on customer specifications. In this case, a special Family Tree as a Christmas present. This was the birthstones of the family as a gift to the customer’s wife, all set in 14k gold fill wire.

Birhtstones featured are:
May – Chrome Diopside (as alternative to emerald)
June – Lavender fresh water pearls
August – Peridot
November – Citrine

Because everything I make is made by hand, it allows me to fully customize and personalize pieces. One of my favorite things to make are custom pendants that incorporate birthstones for Mothers and Grandmothers.

This piece features the birthstones of March (semi-precious blue topaz in substitution for aquamarine), July (precious Ruby), and August (semi-precious peridot) all together in non-tarnish, sterling silver plated wire.

I desperately need to drum up some sales. Things have been so slow for over a week now and I’m honestly panicking looking at the dwindling balance in my account. With surgery 12 days away (and counting!) and $600 still to go, PLUS trying to build a little bit of a safety net while I’m in recovery for living expenses, I do not need to be this stressed over finances in addition to the stress and fear over surgery!

I’ve added a few things in the past week or so to the shop and thought I’d just do a small post showing off the newer pieces.

Perhaps you love my custom birthstone bird nest pendant but have too large of a family. Or, maybe you want to celebrate an extended friends and/or family. If you need more than 4 birthstones together in one piece, this is the perfect option for you!

You can choose between 5 and 12 pearl colors in any combination you would like. The first example shows five pearls (September, July, May, April and February.) The second example is actually the inspiration for this style. A customer needed nine pearls and asked if I could put them all in a line for her. (The months are November, September and October in that piece.) It was such a great idea, I decided to offer it to everyone!

Dainty little bird charm, bird nest and leafy branch come together with chrysocolla gemstone “eggs” all set in sterling silver to make a lovely lariat style necklace.

I started with a delicate sterling silver plated link chain. I next added accents of chrysocolla gemstone which is an amazing stone of blue and green swirled together. (Each bead looks like a little mini planet Earth.) Then I added a leafy branch connector. The chain slips through the last leaf in a faux lariat style and from the chain dangles a bird nest with three additional chrysocolla “eggs.” Below the nest is a flying swallow bird charm. The whole necklace is finished with a toggle clasp.

This asymmetrical design allows you to adjust how you wear it. You can wear it shorter and closer to the neck with a long dangle of the nest, or, you can wear it longer on the neck with a shorter nest dangle. It’s very versatile and allows you to pair this piece with many different shirts and necklines as a result. The total length is 18″

It’s such a sweet little necklace and the color of the chrysocolla is so pretty. It’s just a great piece in it’s simplicity and style!
