Chrome Diopside and Quartz Dangle Earrings in Sterling Silver

Though I’m still out on unpaid medical leave and will be for some time now (see all the details here), it seems like there are just never enough hours in the day! Not enough time to make, photograph, edit and list items let alone promote them. But here’s one I managed to get listed tonight. I have a few more things which are going to be listed soon but for now, this is the first of them.

Stunning gemstone earrings set all in sterling silver featuring 10mm AA-Grade Crystal Quartz Onion Briolette surrounded by amazing Chrome Diopside Rondelles with White Topaz Accents.

I started these stunning earrings with flawless, AA-grade Crystal Quartz in a 10mm onion shaped briolette. It’s faceted and clear as ice. Then I strung one of my all-time favorite gemstones, Chrome Diopside, on ball-tipped sterling silver headpins and made a cluster on top of the quartz. Above that are two white topaz faceted rondelles to finish out the earrings. They are finished with .925 sterling silver leverbacks.

Chrome Diopside isn’t as well known as other gemstones and though it has an ugly name, it’s one of the most stunning gems you’ll ever find. The color is so rich, so deep and so intense it just doesn’t seem real. But this is an all natural, untreated gemstone and the amazing vibrancy of the green paired with the cool icy perfection of the quartz makes for a really stunning look.

They measure just about 1.45″ in total length from top of leverback to bottom of the quartz. All findings in these are .925 sterling silver. The headpins also have little round balls on the tips giving them more interest and style.

Chrome Diopside is also called “Siberian Emerald” because of it’s rich, amazing green. Many people say Chrome Diopside is what Emerald wishes it could be when it grows up! The name Diopside is derived from the Greek word ‘di’ meaning two, and ‘opsis’, meaning vision. Diopside is believed to be a creative stone, increasing creative visualization and helping to manifest desired goals. Found only in remote Siberia, it can only be mined three months of the year making it a rare and valuable gemstone.

Chalcedony Rainbow Moonstone and Apatite Briolette Drop Pendant Necklace

A huge, faceted aqua Chalcedony briolette is accented by rainbow moonstone and apatite rondelles and hangs as a teardrop pendant from a sterling silver Figaro chain.

This beautiful piece starts with a massive sea foam green Chalcedony faceted heart briolette approximately 18mm x 18mm. It’s then wire wrapped in non-tarnish sterling silver plated wire. Accents of rainbow moonstone and blue apatite faceted rondelles on sterling silver ball tipped headpins surround the center focal stone. It hangs on an 18″ sterling silver plated Figaro link chain and is finished with a lobster claw clasp.

This is a gorgeous piece. Very feminine and just lovely. In fact, I ordered an extra of these beautiful Chalcedony briolettes for myself! The color is so soothing and the moonstone and apatite just harmonize so well together. It’s just a lovely pendant.

Four Seasons Tree

All four seasons – Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter – are represented in this beautiful sterling silver pendant. With Peridot, Aventurine, Carnelian and Quartz gemstones as the colors of the year.

This pendant is handmade using painstaking wire-wrapping techniques. Non-tarnish sterling silver plated wire frames and encircles the pendant, and non-tarnish sterling silver plated wire is then used as the roots, trunk and branches of the tree. This Tree features four separate and unique gemstones to represent the Four Seasons.

Spring (Peridot) – Peridot is a natural, semi-precious gemstone in the most amazing green color. The birthstone of August, it has been considered sacred and a symbol of purity for thousands of years. It was considered a stone of Springtime and a gift of Mother Nature by the Ancients. It is a stone of lightness and beauty and is said to enhance wellness in the spiritually aware.

Summer (Dark Green Aventurine) – Aventurine comes in several colors. This particular color is one I just got in and it’s stunning. It has an inner sparkle to it due to the mica content in the quartz matrix. Green Aventurine is the stone of luck and chance. It is said to increase perception and creative insight and is associated with the heart chakra.

Autumn (Red Carnelian) – Red Carnelian is a natural gemstone with an interesting past. Originally it was strictly the property of the noble class and people of high social standing were often buried with this stone. Associated with the Second Chakra (the spleen), it is said to give energy, aide in the prevention of negative vibrations and calm the temper. It’s also known as an energy booster, red carnelian is said to draw energy flows to the wearer.

Winter (Clear Quartz Crystal) – Quartz crystal is a clear variety of quartz that was first found high in the frozen mountains of the Alps. Ancient people believed it was a form of ice crystals that would never melt. It is said to have cooling powers and is a romantic stone.

This Tree is a beautiful representation of the Wheel of the Year and would be a wonderful gift for anyone who is attuned to the seasons such as Wiccans, Witches, Pagans and other Earth-lovers or truly anyone who simply loves the beauty of each season.

The piece measures approximately 1.5″ in height (not including bail) and 1.5″ in width. This is only the second Four Season Tree I’ve offered so it’s making it’s repeat performance on this listing.
