Large "Phoenix" Inspired, Tri-Colored Tree of Life Pendant with
Citrine, Agate and Red Coral Gemstone Leaves
The Tree of Life is
a concept that's been featured in myth, story and legend literally
all around the world. Since ancient times, people have used
variations on the theme. Connecting all things - the realms of the
spirit, the physical, the Divine and the mundane - the roots of the
Tree and the branches touch all things and bring them together in
harmony.
This LARGE Tree pendant is handmade using painstaking wire-wrapping techniques.
A non-tarnish silver wire frame encircles the pendant, and bronze wire is then
used as the roots, trunk and branches of the tree. Featuring a tri-color pattern
of genuine Citrine, Agate and Red Coral Gemstones as leaves, this piece looks
fiery like a Phoenix or like an Autumn tree in a riot of color.
Citrine has been called the "stone of the mind". Ancient cultures believed that
placing a citrine on the forehead of an elder would increase his psychic power
as well as bring money, luck and good health.
Agate is one of the oldest known gemstones in the world and is considered THE
stone for protection. Said to prevent bad dreams, bring strength and help with
acceptance of stress and difficult times, agate comes in a wide variety of
colors and patterns.
Red Coral is known as the "garden of the sea" and is believed to prevent ill
fortune and protect the skin from disease. Coral is a good aid for meditation
and is associated with the Root and Heart Chakras.
The
pendant is much larger than my normal size Trees and is approximately 2.25" tall and
2" wide.
Like all my pieces, it's very dimensional and rises up out of it's frame.
