Apple Tree of Life Pendant in Gold With Green Jade and Red Glass
Apples
The Tree of Life is
a concept that's been featured in myth, story and legend literally
all around the world. Since ancient times, people have used
variations on the theme. Connecting all things - the realms of the
spirit, the physical, the Divine and the mundane - the roots of the
Tree and the branches touch all things and bring them together in
harmony.
This Apple Tree pendant is handmade using painstaking wire-wrapping techniques.
Gold wire frames and encircles the pendant, and is then used as the roots, trunk
and branches of the tree.
Natural Jade (dyed) is used as the amazing variation in the leaves. Jade is an
ancient stone used to attract love. Said to attract money into your life, jade
is also a protective stone guarding against misfortune. Associated with the
fourth chakra, the Heart, it's a healing stone which promotes self-healing and
soothing underlying non-physical injury and wounds.
Nestled into the Jade leaves are four glass "apples" made of polychromatic Czech
glass beads. (The color and intensity of the red varies across the surface of
the bead, giving it highlights and lowlights in color.) They are very striking
and do not photograph as pretty as they look in real life.
The Jade has a large variety of color tone and color intensity to it, providing
each leaf with a unique and natural variation like a Summer tree in full bloom
and splendor. While each pendant I make is fully hand crafted and thus
one-of-a-kind, this one is truly unique. It is the only one of it's kind and
once it sells, it will NOT be duplicated.
