One-of-a-kind, Handmade Miniature Faerie Hutch in Shades of Blue with Gold Accent

I have only recently begun to work in miniatures. I created the first magical supply hutch as a gift for a friend. I wanted something faerie (fairy) sized; something that perhaps might be found in the little forest cottage where she lived. This one was done in a beautiful dark teal color with doors and feet accented in a rich cobalt blue. Then I used a dry brush painting technique to add a decorative finish in a classic gold. After painting I go to town creating all sorts of unique items to fill the shelves. It's very particular, precise work and it takes many, many hours to complete a single hutch.

The colors on this hutch are just vibrant and beautiful, reminiscent of the ocean.

Close-up detail shows off some of the amazingly intricate details. The top shelf features books, potion bottles,  and a pumpkin. The second shelf has a crystal ball, more potion bottles and three glass containers with the magic potion ingredients  "Essence of Love," "Worm Wood," and "Dragon Scales."

The bottom has two cabinets that close with silver bottles inside while the open center features a brass candle holder and a curious little rat.

The top features two silver candle holders with white candles, more potion bottles and green moss. This little fairy clearly had a lot to store and even took over the top with more items!

This hutch is a lovely little piece with a combination of pretty bottles and curious curios. It would look fantastic in your doll house or as a neat conversation piece to have out on display year-round. It measures around 6" in height at it's tallest point, 4" width and about 1.25" in width. The piece is hand signed on the bottom by the artist. (Me!)
