Silver Metal Bookmark with Miniature Tree of Life in Natural Peridot
Gemstone and Swarovski Crystal
The Tree of Life is
a concept that's been featured in myth, story and legend literally
all around the world. Since ancient times, people have used
variations on the theme. Connecting all things - the realms of the
spirit, the physical, the Divine and the mundane - the roots of the
Tree and the branches touch all things and bring them together in
harmony.
This miniature version of my normal Tree of Life pendants is handmade using painstaking wire-wrapping
techniques. Permanently colored brown wire is used for the oval frame and
non-tarnish copper as the trunk, roots and branches. Natural peridot gemstone is
used as the leaves and the pendant is accented with three genuine Swarovski
crystal bicones in shades of purple.
Peridot is a natural, semi-precious gemstone in the most amazing green color.
The birthstone of August, it has been considered sacred and a symbol of purity
for thousands of years. It was considered a stone of Springtime and a gift of
Mother Nature by the Ancients. It is a stone of lightness and beauty and is said
to enhance wellness in the spiritually aware.
Peridot, while possessing a uniquely vivid tone of green has some natural
variation in it. Each pendant is fully hand crafted and thus one-of-a-kind. No
two are alike. Please allow for some natural variation as each piece is created
fully by hand, from the frame, to the trunk to the branches. The total length of
the bookmark is a little over five inches and it's slim profile allows it to fit
in any book, paperback or hardcover.
