Brown Wire Bird Nest Necklace with Genuine Agate Gemstone "Eggs"

A new design for me, this is my Bird Nest necklace. A bird's nest has a lot of symbolic meaning including protection of the young and nurturing new generation and life. A nest is a home and a shelter and a Mother bird dedicates herself to the protection of her precious eggs. This process - and nurturing of creativity in general - is celebrated in this piece. Brown wire is woven to form the nest shape and three natural Agate gemstone "eggs" in a mix of very dynamic blue/grey/beige colors are nestled safely within. Agate is THE stone for protection. It's one of the oldest stones in recorded history. It's a stone of deep healing and strong protection giving us the strength to always go on. The nest strung on a 21" dual strand necklace of ribbon and cord finished with a lobster claw clasp.

It's delicate, feminine and unique. Something easily worn with any attire and yet a real conversation piece. Because each one is unique, no two would ever look exactly alike.
