Brown Wire Bird Nest Necklace with Chrysocolla "Eggs"

A new design for me, this is my Bird Nest necklace. A bird's nest has a lot of symbolic meaning including protection of the young and nurturing new generation and life. A nest is a home and a shelter and a Mother bird dedicates herself to the protection of her precious eggs. This process - and nurturing of creativity in general - is celebrated in this piece. Brown wire is woven to form the nest shape and three natural Chrysocolla gemstone "eggs" in the most amazing blue-green colors are nestled safely within. The eggs look almost like little Earths. Chrysocolla is associated with feminine energy, creativity, tranquility, peace and unconditional love. It's strung on a matching 18" blue cord finished with a lobster claw clasp.

It's delicate, feminine and unique. Something easily worn with any attire and yet a real conversation piece. Because each one is unique, no two would ever look exactly alike.
