Bird Nest Necklace with Beautiful Blue Lapis Lazuli "Eggs" and Swallows On Figaro Chain

A bird's nest has a lot of symbolic meaning including protection of the young and nurturing new generation and life. A nest is a home and a shelter and a Mother bird dedicates herself to the protection of her precious eggs.

This process is celebrated in this piece. Silver wire is woven to form the nest shape and three genuine Blue Lapis Lazuli "eggs" are nestled safely within.  Lapis Lazuli is an ancient gem. The very earliest cultures valued Lapis Lazuli more highly than gold. The ancient Egyptians used Lapis Lazuli as a symbol of Truth. It's associated with Love, Protection, Power and Healing. On either side of the nest are two swallow charms.

The pendant and bird charms are around 3" and is attached to a 15" Figaro chain
(for a total length around 18") with lobster claw clasp for easy wear.

 

It's delicate, feminine and unique. Something easily worn with any attire and yet a real conversation piece.
